Pula & south west Sardinia; Tourism Information.
Pula & Nora
|Pula Chiesa||Pula Piazza|
Pula is one of the few coastal towns in southern Sardinia (the city of Cagliari is the obvious exception!) that is not purely seasonal, it has a resident population of 7.000 and an economy split between agriculture and tourism. It has a compact centre but is best known for the nearby pre-Roman site of Tharros and the surrounding beach areas.

Chia & Tuerredda
Chia is further from Cagliari and less developed than Pula. This means two things; it effectively closes out of the summer season and with the exception of July/August the beaches are less crowded. The beach at Tuerredda is one of the nicest in the area just don't expect much in the way of facilities. Heading further south west you will find further isolated beach areas and the location of Teuleda's old port at Porto Budello ; still protected by the Torre Budello (1601).
